In America dozens of cultures and civilizations were developed. However throughout history they emerged and were considered as high cultures, which were located in the Andes and Mesoamerica.

These cultures developed complex systems of political and social organization, they were remarkable for their artistic traditions and religions. They discovered and invented very advanced cultural elements such as calendars, construction systems, domain in the work ofstone and earth, ancient ceramics, writing systems, and political and social systems and an advanced textile production and craft.

PRE COLUMBIAN POTTERY

It is understood by pre-columbian pottery to the entire production of people of the Americas before the arrival of the Europeans.

The pre-columbian pottery is characterized by having been shaped by hand, one by one. In them the pre-columbian people represented their gods, deities, animals, customs, daily activities or human representation.

The pre-columbian ceramics reached its maximum expression in South America and Central America. In South America the peruvian ceramic is without doubt the most refined, they were made of clay and its partially polished surface is adorned with patterns and unique designs.

In South America the pre-columbian people that stood out significantly in ceramics were the Moche and NAZCA, then leave their influence to the Incas and other cultures.
